This major breakthrough is expected to enable manufacturers to benefit from fully pumpable size reduced cheese without any of the food product safety risks associated with the short shelf life of the pasteurised alternatives. By flash heating the product at ultra high temperatures Meadow is able to supply a fully pumpable product with excellent viscosity, flavour and an extended shelf life similar to hard cheese.

Major Investment
The project team, headed by Meadow’s Development Director, Steve Dixon, have spent 14 months and an investment running into hundreds of thousands of pounds to develop the unique technology, plant and rigorous process trials required to bring this to product market.
